| Fun Fact 2 | The state flag is a field of blue with an image of the state's coat of arms centrally located. The coat of arms consist of a shield depicting the local scenery; the green mountains, forests, cattle and wheat representing industry and agriculture, a solitary pine tree represents the importance of local forestry. The shield is also flanked either side with trees, a deer head is positioned at the top representing local wildlife. The state motto is displayed at the base of the shield on a red banner along with the word Vermont |
