Lionel Richie is a famous American singer and songwriter who was born on June  20th, 1949 in Tuskegee, Alabama in the United States of America. His middle name is Brockman.

Lionel Richie was signed up by Motown Records in 1968 when he was part of the famous group known as the Commodores.

Lionel Richie has three children. His eldest child is called Nicole Richie. Lionel and his first wife adopted Nicole when she was two years old. They cared for her from the age of 2 and officially adopted her at the age of 9. His other two children are called Miles and Sofia whom he had with his second wife.
