The name Colorado is believed to have originated from the meaning colored red, which refers to the red soil in the locality

The sate flag can be described as two thick horizontal blue lines, separated by a white horizontal line of equal thickness. Upon the lines and slightly to the left side is a large thick red letter C with a solid golden yellow circle within the middle
